1979 Sunroof opening size

Can someone tell me the opening size of the 1979 sunroof?

I would say it goes about 2" high, maybe shave off a qtr of an inch.

This is a guesstimate, and yes I've seen the sunroofs opened alot (brother has a non op 79sa we see daily) the latch goes up and thats it for movement.

I'm looking for the dimensions (width and length) of the opening the sunroof sits in.

If, I was home I could tell you in a snap. You realize there is the actual thru opening size, then the overall size which the roof panel fits in. If you want the latter, you may just want the actual roof panel dimensions. I believe the 79 opening is the same dimensions as the 80 and later but the 79's front mounting hardware was located slightly different. The rear hardware were both in the center, but again the 79 flip up latch was different than the "screw it up" type.
