For some, 14's are perfect. But I'm on the lookout for the perfect 13.

The wheel arches in the FB are actually pretty big. I'm running 15's now and they seem soooooo small Going to try a set of 17's with 215/45/17 tires this weekend. Pics will be posted.

I run 15's on my race car and street car. anything bigger than a 16" wheel on a stock body first gen is too big in my opinion.

Thanks

The wheels are 15 x 7 "Drag" DR 19 wheels from discount tire direct with a 40 offset on a SE suspension (4x114.4 pattern). (They are fairly light and cheap)
The tires are 205 50 15 Yokohama Advan Neova A008.

I'm really confused about the correct wheel sizes. Would this wheel fit my 85 SE? (in the stock fenders?)

Drag DR-19 custom rims

15x8 +10mm all around, and theyre a relatively new addition to the 4x110 market, also availiable in our bolt pattern in 15x7 and 15x9 with offsets of -15 to +10. The design is based on a classic Japanese racing wheel called the Hyashi Racing Street-CR (a single 15x8 hyashi wheel MSRP's for $600! Which is abt the price for a full set of my wheels)

As a side note, Im not sure how they fit on stock suspension/stock ride height, Im on coilovers and camber plates (set with a fair amount of negative camber (-2 to -2.5*)) With my 7" coilover springs, my 205/50 tires are about 1/4" away from rubbing the lower perch, and my camber allows me to clear the rolled fenders on full suspension stroke. Also, when running at my ride height, the rear wheel archs need to be completely rolled and pinched

That off set is a little more than the stock setup, (40 +) meaning the wheel and tire will set a few millimeters further inboard. Depending on the tire width or even tire shape you will or may have an issue with the tire coming very close or even touching the lower spring perch on the inside. This can be resolved by obtaining some high quality spacers that are both hub centric and wheel centric to move the wheels out to the perfect spot. I ended up using 5mm spacers. I was originally fearful of using spacers, but I have had no issues whatsoever. Keep in mind I am running coilovers so I do not have the stock spring perches, anyway, I got mine here:

Wheel Adapters, Wheel Spacers, Hub Rings, and much more! | Motorsport Tech

I highly reccomend this place, custom made pieces garenteed not to vibrate etc.... Very informative website.

It would be nice if we could have a wider choice of wheels that have the exact offset thats needed, but unfortunetly there is just not that much out there.

Pansports are 15", sitting on 195/50's, Hoshinos are 14" sitting on 205/60's. Rear rims are 1/2" wider but I did same sized tires all around.

I love the look of those bigger rims at 17" personally. That one blue car with 18's is sick looking too

I'm really dumb when it comes to wheels, I'll let you know that from the start.

This will be the first time I am purchasing any sort of after market wheels for any if my vehicles. I'm looking to get a little bit of tire poking out of the fenders, and fill up the gap.

My car is a 1985 GS with drums in the rear. Will 15x8 zero offset wheels, 225/45/15 tires, and 1" adapters/spacers give me this look? Would I need to run a staggered set up with 15x7 up front? Suspension is stock. 15"wheels-image-2758469951.jpg

15x7 30mm offset front with 205-50-15's

15x8 12mm offset rears with 225-50-15's

Coil overs, and no rub on the inside, but the rears rub just a bit outside during hard cornering

Rota RB wheels (haters can suck it- they are round, strong enough for what I'm doing, and I don't have parents to buy my wheels for me)

I was worried about the rears being too tall, but with the 60-1, now I'm worried my rear gear is too short!
