a 13B REW swap has been done, but its a bit more complex than a TTI swap. Use the search function under 1st gen section to bring up some of the guys who've done it.

yea so i was reading up on doing the REW swap and also checked into the t2 swap. It looks like none of them are going to be a simple "in ya go" job but then again thats why its called a project car. My thing is if i do a REW swap would i have to go single turbo because what ive read ive only seen people with the single turbo set up. And would the REW swap cost more? i suppose it would but i want to get another say in it. And would doing the 13B swap bring in more power than the T2 swap? Which one would need the most work on? i planned on buying another 1st gen and buying a 13b rew and tranny but i hear the s5 tranny would be better for a REW swap. Or would it be cheaper to get a 2nd gen t2 motor and tranny and put it in the body?

Both are 13b's. If you are going for MAX power, it will be better with the 13B-RE motor.

The TII is more bolt in style, just needing the front cover from a 12a/13b first gen and a GSL-SE oil pan. Other things will be nick nacks. You can run a blowthrough set up to avoid the wiring mess, but if you have it then why not.

Do a search, or atleast look in the archives.
