Talk about some big bucks paperweight.

I only have the Rear housing and rotor off now. The irons look damn good, but the parts I NEED are trash. I dont even know if I want to bother with trying to take off the front.

the fronts probably ok, usually both dont get trashed unless it is a high mile motor.

Nice job. What did you do? Adam's right, there's a very good chance the front rotor and housing are good. Ask nicely and he may even have what you need for sale. If not, I may have a housing and rotor that I might be willing to part with for the right price.

What i did was buy the block off someone. First engine I took apart too. This was my planned 13b 4port half bridge.

Sorry Adam, I can't really help you with the pic. I'm not that up on looking at the plug side to determine which series of engine that one is. Easiest way that I know of is to look in the exhaust ports. The pre-86 13B housing don't have the diffusers in the exhaust ports. The S5 housings have a slightly different spark plug spread between the L&T plugs than the earlier housings.

At some point in time this year I will be looking fo a good set of S5 NA rotors and counterweights for the REPU engine.

i was thinking it was a s4 s5 because it has the holes taped on the center iron for the 2nd gen engine mount.

Midwest, the GSL-SE had threaded holes on both sides. The S4/S5 did not! They had a different motor mount arangement on the exhaust side with two vertical holes at the bottom of the plate where the oil pan attaches and one bolt kinda in the middle of the pan giving it a funky shape.

So you had the right idea, just not the right one.

trochoid, I think it was the S4 that had the different L plug location. The S5 I think moved them back to the GSL-SE and older location. The FD also had the S5 location, as did the NF01 Cosmo 13B-RE and 20B.

That's a GSL-SE center iron not a 2nd gen. Look at the dipstick hole. The 2nd gens had a steel extension tube and there was a groove machined in the top of the iron around where the extension tube fits in the iron. That iron has neither.

Jeff20b is correct. It was the S4 housings that had the oddball sparkplug placement. The S5's went back to the pre-86 plug hole configuration.
