13B fitting question

How much is required to get a 93+ 13B to bolt into the engine mounts, everything else I am not worried about, just hookin it into the car. I have heard that you have to swap off the face plate, can you use the face plate off of a 12A? I have heard that the only diff between a 12A and a 13B is the engine lenght and that Racing Beat makes a modded front engine mount to take up the difference in length.

yup. i think they call it the front plate though, but all in all, its the same ****. your right, the only differences in the 12a and 13b physically is that the 13b had wider rotors, causing it to be longer than a 12a. to get it to fit in, you will need the "13b into a 12a chassis" motor mount from racing beat. i think it can be done without it, but im not sure how, and i hear its a bitch. also you will need a gsl-se oil pan to clear some **** under the car. other than that, i think it fits right in, it should even bolt up to the 12a tranny, but i doubt it will handle the power

It's actually referred to as the "front cover". The "front plate" usually refers to the forward side housing. As for the 12A tranny not handling the power, it depends on the 13B's power output. You can use a 12A tranny on a stockport or even a streetported 13B without any problem.

Also, was wondering (may sound stupid) will the 12A clutch hold up to a 3rd gen engine, or will it slip and burn up??

hell no, the 12a clutch is good for about 120-130 maybe,

you try and put 250-300 through it and youll blow your legs off.

you cant make ur current one fit, but you could get a new one for around $70 from mazdatrix, or go find one at a junkyard.

I'm going to go with Haltech E6K. The rx-7 store has some good prices. I'll be doing a write up on the install on my web page soon.
