13 " tires for GSL

Was wondering if anyone knew of a good company that sells any high performance tires in the 13" range? Would like to keep my RX somewhat original and finding out it is kind of hard to find a good tire.

yea dude- i second that, i picked up a set of those off of a friend, i loved them, i think i had some 195/50's and for being 50 series they werent bad, but thats the only tire i could find for a 13" wheel.

downsides? well the car is going to be considerably lower if youre used to 70 or 80 series tires, and a little bit noisier and stiffer ride, and they do look kind of goofy being that its a 13" wheel with a low profile tire...but i got used to them, and after a while kind of even liked them, but to each his own, as we all know.

oh and they were a B to mount (capitalized for extra emphasis!), good luck with that, it might even be worth it to pay someone to do it haha

that does look sorta goofy. wonder how much of a soft feel the 60's have over the 50's... if any softer of a feel. Usualy lower profile give a firmer more responsive feel, at least in my experiances. I will be looking for some tires soon, so this thread is helpful. And I +1 on the HTR200's. I guess I will go 205/60/13, though Id prefer 195/60. I dont like putting that wide of a tire on such a skinny wheel.

I've driven on the HTR's. They're a decent street tire with fabulous wet-weather performance, but the sidewalls are pure mush and they tend to feather when abused.

That said, they're close to the only choice for summer tires for a stock-sized rim.

Try the Toyo RA-1 in 205/60 R13. That is what I run for HPDE and time trails.

Depends on what you think is low profile. To me anything under 50 sidewall is low profile. So I dunno

There aren't many.

You can get the Yokohama A048 in a 185/60 or a 205/60/13 size. For the stock rim, I'd stick with the 185's. They fit the 5.5's better and are lower profile, which helps with gearing.

Other than that, most R tires and slicks are geared towards a 7 inch rim and upwards, so you're looking at sizing at 215/50/13 and wider, which isn't a good fit for the stock rim.

I also had 195/50's on my gsl, I do agree at first they look strange, being the rim is only a 13, but I got alot of good feedback and loved them for awhile I kept buying them till I just went to 17's, but I loved them and would recommened them. DO NOT BUY THEM if your streets are full of potholes, or you have a fat girlfriend, bad bad bad idea.
