13 Second RX7! How?
I did high 13s with a street port nonturbo T2 engine, a half bridge nonturbo T2 engine, and a full bridge N/A 4-port 13B.
My car weighs a bit more than stock.
Now, if you're like me, "13s" means 12.7-13.4ish.

my car is really light, but the only real yardstick i have is what it hangs with down the straight on the race track, the real race track, the kind with turns.
Mine weighs 2275#s... thats minus my 180# ***, but includes a quarter tank of fuel. Junkyard scales, Its accurite
I'm pretty durn stock as possible on the interior except I took out the rust promoting foam stuff in the trunk.
Under the hood I'm not near stock. All I have other than the engine is the alternator. And From what I gather the OE headers are heavy as sin & I've got FC RB headers.
As for HP numbers I think all of you have lost your minds, but that aside. I'd say I've got a concervative 150hp... Maybe. Street port (MILDLY) S4 rotors, and a three inch exhaust all the way back with a 600cfm four barrel to feed it (tuned VERY correctly). And a 100% stock split diff drive train.
Now I haven't actually timed my car; however I've been in some quick cars before. This car is a wee bit slower in a strait line than my MX-3 and I'd say 15+ seconds....
That being said I want to see proof.\
EDIT: also why does it matter? this isn't a strait line mussel car... its a curve carver.

Nice to read that a full 13bt TII swap with transmission and a GSL rear end with 15x7 sticky tires will land me in the 13's though. Will be racing my uncle in a 70 GT Torino and it will be fun to beat him with a 13b vs a 351 Windsor
