12a taking awhile to start when warm??

Is this normal....when It's completly cold, i pump the gas and choke a few times and it starts rite up....When its warm, and its been shut off for about 10 minutes, its take a good 15-25 seconds to get started again...Is this normal? and if so why does it do this. Is there anything i can do to fix it?

if your timing checks out ok... you beeeetter hit up a compression test if that's all good then it's the carb possibly leaking the fuel in to the motor from the bowls as it sits all hot and ****. when you turbo a 12a using the nikki this happens all the time due to the fuel vaporizing and just seeping in to the motor. hahaha it suuux. that's why we have fuel switches altho, yours should not be doing this. sooo, check this **** out and we'll go from there.

most likely you're beginning to lose compression. Hate to be the berror of bad news, but it's either that or flooding.

I always start with half-choke and NO pedal when cold. Usually it starts with no choke and no pedal when warm. That's true for all 4 rotaries, 2 FBs, SE, and REPU. But sometimes an FB doesn't start immediately when warm, so I slowly press pedal to floor and it starts when floored. I suspect a little extra fuel gets in and it starts to flood. That's the theory anyhow. The only time I have had slow starting problems is when coolant is leaking into the engine and it floods the plugs with coolant. But then the Internal Water seal Fix solves it.
