12A Street Port Idle???
Hi guys, what seems to be the average idle rpm for a 12 Street Port with a weber 45DCOE. My does not want to idle good enough below 1400 to 1600 rpm...?? is that to high for a street port...
any comments will be greatly appreciated...

Mine idled best @ 1000rpms
Intake ports were slightly bigger than racing beat template.
Exhaust ports were very mildly ported.
Dellorto 48DHLA.
Jose you should check for vacuum leaks including in the carb. Make sure the lid is screwed on right an that all the jets are firmly in place. 1500rpm is too high an idle for 12a sp

When cold mine will idle at @1000 but that goes up to about 1300 once warm. I can reset it to about 900-1000 once warm.
Weber 48
Dont know the size of the ports.

I adjusted it down between 1100 - 1300 rpm... it work okay at this rpm. It just surges every once wile when down shifting and if you don't watch it will die.
