My first 12a the car has been sitting wont keep running and a cloud of thick smoke not steam comes out. I was told theres already a new pump rebuilt carb new fuel filter and fresh gas still no luck. When the car runs for about 4 seconds it runs smooth and then dies with the smoke. The car is stock and has automatic trans.

 

Simple fix found a clogged jet in the carb thanks anyways

Jinx myself i only partially fixed it. I can only get it started by spraying carb cleaner in the air horn. And when its running it only depends on the venturi jets of the primary to keep her running. Pls help again

 

when it does start does it climb up by itself or is it idling good?

 

My rx is having the same problem. Except I have a side draft weber. Rpms climb to 3 grand and holds for a little bit. Then suddenly dies like it's running out of fuel..
