the inner water seals will more then likely come out in several pieces and be separated for the Teflon and the out water seal will be stretched if it doesn't break first. ..

Open your engine first .then you will know exactly what you will need . Most engines I have open with apex seal failure have had at the very least a damaged rotor and rotor housing .

When I did my 12a rebuild and purchased from Mazdatrix and Atkins Rotary.
Some were the same prices, some different.
79-85 12A Overhaul Gasket Kits

Both places sell videos for a 13b rebuild, but the steps for a 12a are similar.

There are many online videos as well.

Use the forum's Advanced Search function and search for 12a Rebuild by title.
This place is a tremendous source of information. If in doubt, ask.

Apex seals, yes. Don't know what causes them to collapse, but I've tried reusing them and its a no go for me. Cheaper in the long run to buy new ones as apposed to throwing away costly water jacket seals on a second rebuild cause you cheaped out on the first.

Side seal springs....not so much. I've never bought new side seal springs and never had much issue out of them. aside from needing the different length side seals I've never NEEDED side seals either.
