12a Rebuild: Choke magnetic switch fixed

Its the little things that drive you crazy.

Choke magne failed to hold choke after fixing hood latch last night.

Looked in the FSM, checked continuity of #2 (bottom left radiator). Hoping it was not the magnetic switch itself as it worked last time running.

Turned out to be the connector from the #1 switch on the back of the water pump housing. I must have bumped the connector last night and it was not fully connected, as it came apart easily.

Reconnect the #1 switch to the harness and the choke magnet work again.

Ive been stumped by a dead magnet before. It turned out to be the little 5A fuse in the CPU under the steering wheel.

Nice! great to know! My Mag choke stays out for all of 10-20sec then snaps in. So I guess mag function is OK mechanically. And presume if fuse you describe was bad then the mag would not work PERIOD. So maybe SW/Sender in W.pump is the culprit (it is hooked up)??
