Sears, it's also 2-1/8". That size socket takes a 3/4" drive, pick up the 3/4 to 1/2" adaptor. You will not get the flywheel nut off using 3/8" anything.

yeah no kidding, specially at 300 foot pounds.

Dont make the mistake of buying a 2 1/4, it works, but its sloppy.

you can order one at lordco, jet makes one for 50 dollars, my price was $30

if you dont hae an impact gun, mazdatrix sells(or you could make) a flywheel stopper that bolts to the block and prevents the flywheel from turning when you are trying to remove the flywheel. to me, it was worth the $20 i paid for it. its definatly paid for itself.

When I was working on my 12A I got the 2 1/8" socket from Sears, and then also got this 3/4" Torque wrench for a steal off of E-bay. It is exactly like this one...

http://cgi.ebay.com/3-4-DR-MICROMETE...QQcmdZViewItem

I was very surprised at the quality of the torque wrench. It works great, and I was sure that I had torqued down that dern flywheel nut the proper amount...

Talking

hammer and chisel. Buy yourself a 1/2 cold chisel and grind down the tip so you dont slice the flywheel nut. Small but very handy particularly in junkyards.

No need for a flywheel stopper IF you have a hammer and chisel.
