this rx7 has been standing for a couple of months, engine out of body. Put everything back together, wired everything up, new battery, new oil. Turned the key, all ignition lights on. WOW ! Heard the fuel pump whirring away. Good sign. Cranked the baby....oil pressure gauge starts moving...but no start. Remove plugs. All fouled up, smells like petrol. Clean them up. Crank the baby again. Still no start. Check plugs again. Again, all fouled up with petrol. What is going on ? Is the baby flooded ? How do i de-flood ? Is this time for ATF treatment ? Advice needed. Thanks

 

Well What I did when mine was flooded I pulled out the plugs and they where fouled with gas so I left them out of the block and d/c my fuel pump fuse. Then I start the motor allowing it to turn over about 15 sec to push all the excess gas outta the motor I then reinstalled the plugs and Spray some started fluided in the carb she cracked up like a champ after that... smoked like a SOB but after that she was all better Hope this helps
