NY 12A burning super rich ( It makes my eyes burn)

As some of you may know I am running a holley 465cfm from (RB) with RB intake, holley red fuel pump and regulator plus a pair of msd blaster 3 coils and RB spark plug wires. The engine does bog abit when I accelerate but after some info Jeez gave me I've been able to get it to run a lil better, but what I have noticed is that the engine is burning the fuel super rich to the point where my eyes start to burn when I am near the car and the smell of gas is overwelming, on top of that I can't seem to get the regulator to adjust to the proper psi it will max out at 4 to 4.5 psi according to what the gauge reads. I know the pump is working because it makes enuogh noise where I can hear it. Any suggestions?

NY switching to mallory

I am going to switch the fuel pump and use the mallory 4070m and I will also remove the fuel regulator sothat it runs directly from the pump to the carb.

I don't have any experience with aftermarket fuel system upgrades, but you may want to keep the regulator on the car. It would probably flood the carb.

Experts, now is the time to chime.

i would first check the ignitors and make sure they both work , if they r good to go check your jets , most oe motors aps you wanna have the needles turnes 2.5 turns front and rear advance the timming a bit 20/0 dont work with aftermarket carbs so i would advance to about 30/10 , take the rb cables out because with out msd's 6al's they rob too much juice , best of luck

Well I changed the fuel pump and connected it directly to the carb and I am happy to say that my problems are gone, does not bog, the fuel gauge reads 6psi and for some reason it's not burning as rich as it use to don't know why but I'm happy. Thanks to everyone that took the time to help me out.
