no, you don't need 160 or 200 amps (see some of my previous replies). You don't even need 105amps, but its cheap and works.
as for the wiring....

assuming you do infact only have the F & L terminal I would assume that this alternator has some sort of internal sensing thus not needing the S terminal. The F was not used on my GM alt (I assume it is some sort of sensor the computer needs that we don't have) and I would guess that your Ford alt is the same. The L ternimal CANNOT be hooked up directly. I need to be either inline with the idiot light, or have an equivalent resistor inline. This is very important and is what turns the alternator on.

I took the factory connector and cut it off with the connector in it. The connector, however, only had the two wires in it from the factory. F & L.
Anyways, the alternator died. Back to the scrap yard for another!

So the ford alt has 4 pins, but the ford harness only has 2 wires on it? F & L? What are the other ones labled?
Thats an odd setup. but I'm guessing it works like I described in the post you quoted. Although I'm not really sure what the F terminal is used for.

like I said, i didn't use it, but I'm sure it won't hurt.
but then again I don't have anything on my car that is gonna cause the alt to produce anywhere near 105amps. An alt should only produce what is needed.
I'm not an expert. I'm just a backyard mechanic who learns stuff as I go.

you can get the plug from any autoparts store or from the junkyard. almost all 90's GMs used this same series of alternator so it is very common.

I'm not sure what fuse you're talking about. I didn't add or change any.
Go back and re-read my write-up carefully. EVERYTHING that I did is written up.
sorry dude, I can't spoon feed ya. If you still can't figure it out, do your car a favour and stick to a stock alternator.

ok, this is hard for me, but I'm gonna try one more time to be nice....
go to your local autoparts store and ask for the alternator from a '92 buick lesabre as mentioned in my write-up.
While you are there, also ask for the plug for said alternator. They will be able to look this up either in their computer system or in their catalogue.
Failing this, go to your local junkyard and take the new alternator with you. Pop the hood of every 90's GM, chevy etc vehicle and check the plug for the alternator until you find one that is the same as yours. Cut it off with a few inches of wires hanging out.
go home and follow the rest of my writeup for how to install the alternator & hook up the wires.

I got a an alt. out of a '91 Buick century, 3300 engine, I know the wiring would be the same but don't know if it's the same size, dimesion wise, as the cs 130. Any comments from the peanut section ? ?

CS130 is just the series of alternators (some others are SI-10, SI-12, CS144, etc). The CS130 style was used in many GM cars throughout the 90's and currently.
The internals are all the same, but there are many variations in the placement of the mounting ears, wiring, etc in order to fit the different vehicle & engine configurations.
I can't confirm if the alt you have will work without seeing it. Your best bet is to remove your stock alt and line them up side by side to see if the mouning is similar like I did. you will also want the wiring to be in a similar location.
also note that you can remove the 3 long screws that hold the two halves of the case together and rotate the housing 1/3 of a ratation either way to change the placement of the wiring.

thanks for the heads up on that, but being a bowtie fan, of sorts, I already know bout how to rotate the housing, I guess I'll just have to see what's up, I was just hoping that someone else had already used a 3300 alt. and could tell me. I have a rebuilt alt. so I'm probadly not going to mess with it for a while until my current alt. shoots craps.

I didnt no if it would work so i hid it n a 7 for the mean time. and weird when i was there i saw a seven with a 100 amp fuse
