1 bad 7! Gotta check this out!

Hey guys,
I've been a member for a couple years but i've never actually posted any pics of my FB. So here she is.... In all her glory! Firstly it's a 1981 GSL model, basic 12A 1.1L motor, 5 spd manual trans, cold air intake, bone stock other than the catalytic converter free exhaust. The color is Viper Red from the 1995 Dodge Viper GTS the trim is painted and as you can see, it's one o f the cleanest Fb's around. I drove the car for not even a month and I had about 6 people ask if it was for sale, I even had a guy at a gas station with a porshe 911 offer to buy it from me right then and there (supposedly he owned one when he was younger). I enter it into car shows every week and have managed to stir up quite a bit of attention due to the rarity and conditon of the vehicle. The following pictures are of the exterior as well as the redone interior, custom speaker box, and if you take a look at the dash those of you with a keen eye will note that the guage cluster is from a 2005 Salleen S281.

Enjoy!

Definitely a very clean car. I don't really like what you did to the interior, but to each his own. Congratulations on the whole causing up a stir since that is what you are going for.

How long have you owned the car, and how long did it take for you to complete all that customization?

I've owned the car since May 2004. Took me until now to get it "finished" if it ever is really finished. There's still quite a few things to be done still but it's almost there. The original interior was a very unpleasant brown that didnt go at all with the new bright red exterior. I don't really like modifying stuff too too much but it was necessary in this case. It clashed like mad. But everybody has their own thing!

Yeah I can understand changing it from the brown, so yeah I think it would look better the way you have it now as opposed to the brown. My personal attack at it would have been to go with another stock color interior like black, but you definitely did a good job on it.

And for the finished car thing, I don't think there is a such thing as a finished project. No matter how much you do there is always something else you will want to, or need to change.

Exactly. My next dream would be to go turbo. It all depends on whether I can figure it out and whether my budget can allow it! lol

Looks good, a couple things I'm not fond of, but hey, you're the guy that owns it, so there ya go. I went two-tone on my interior, too, but mines a bit more low-key than yours. Nice to see another two tone interior out there.

red, with complimentary orange ? why not red and green?? red and purple??? I guess you could of chosen worse. Red is hard to compliment

All black interior is good for your sub zero ontario winters, sucks 300 days out of the year in alabama. I wish I didn't chose a used car with black interior.

What's the speaker box made from????

I don't think it's orange, I think that's the way the camera picked it up. It looks red in other pics.

Lol good eye... Those things are halarious I remember I was in a parking lot once and than I hear "help help help!" from some kids car. He thought it was pretty cool stuff lol, whatever. But anyways your car looks pretty nice, I also am more into the milder interior colours but its your car, have it your way!

most def. needs some wheels!!! it would bring the whole car together, darker color rims would offset the bright paint well too.....looks great!!
