How can you have both a "half bridge" and "big street" port setup? Perhaps you could mention what porting templates you're using for which ports.

Do you know what you're getting yourself into? What are you doing to the engine to make sure it can withstand a "150 shot"? How much are you willing to spend into this?

Since nobody I know here uses NOS (because it's a cheap ricerish mod) and I don't know what you mean by "half bridge and big street port", I have no way of telling you what you'll run in the quarter mile.

There are too many variables. Tuning of the carb alone can change your 1/4 mile time drastically. Not to mention, if you manage all this you'll be pushing major hp... if your car isn't properly prepped for this you could damage the car, or yourself.

Just ask DirectFreak what it feels like to have your clutch explode on the track.... not fun.

I agree...
Your gonna need 3mm ceramic Apex seals A huge port and a complete rebuild to run the 12a at that level...The stock engine can only take 5-8psi and a 150 shot Is close to 20psi of boost uless you do a 13b Bridge port and a massive fuel set-up it will blow in a blink of an eye. do a 75 shot and the bridge port and you can have a car that will run for a few months MAYBE!

Man you live in Florida there are soo many nitrous rotary's out there running hard. Take a trip to Lakeland dragstrip this weedend and you'll see what I'm talking about. Now with a 12A my setup of choice would be a full bridge port motor a mild bridge that doesn't compromise the water seals. You'll need Racing Beat hardened race stationary gears and need to bump your oiling system up around 100psi. Stock apex seals and let me repeat STOCK APEX SEALS. They will hold up to over 200shot if tuned properly. This setup in a Datsun 1200 "steet car" all steel body panels and factory glass still in it is good for 10.5x trapping 12xmph. Has been done! You'll also need a beefer rearend and at the least a TurboII transmission and very good ignition, something like 2 MSD 6AL's so you can launch off the rev-limiter at 10,500rpm's. Hope you know what your getting yourself into or whoever is building your motor is getting into. You need to build the motor up to take the abuse or else it is going to grenade on you. Nothing like nitrous and to the comment of "NOS (because it's a cheap ricerish mod)" I guess you've never been around real racecars with nitrous because it's not like the Fast and Furious. I've seen Nitrous cars rip new ******** into turbo cars. These are the top 10 Nitrous rotary powered cars from Puerto Rico nothing ricey about these cars!

12A Streetport 150shot of NOS running consistent 11.0X in the 1/4mile with stock apex seals. Over 90 passes on the same motor before being broken down and refreshed it's all in the tuning. Get's me sometimes where do people get their information.
