Good to hear you got it back, I'm laughing my *** off at the stupid thief.

My mum always used to warn me to lock the doors on the project car when I came in for the night, my response was "Mom, it'll take me $2000 worth of parts and at least a week's labour to get it drivable again. If the thieves want it that badly, they can go ahead, tow your car and dad's car out of the way, jack my car up, install the new (insert biggass list of parts here) and take it on a joyride. When they're done with it, I'll take it back"

Sometimes it pays to make your car harder to work with. I tend to pull the main engine fuse when I leave the car, just to give the bugger a harder time if he tries to get away with it quickly. He'd have to try to hotwire it, fail, then pop the hood, find the missing fuse, go to AutoZone, buy a fuse, come back, replace it and take off with my car. Of course, if they don't know that's a 50amp fuse, they might not get the right one, and blow it.. then they'd have to go *back* to the AutoZone... lol

Glad you found it. Thievery is a horrible thing. It makes you feel violated.

Good luck.!

Easily accessable fuseable links make sevens awesome for anti-theft. They're in an easy place to get to so as to remove them but not so obvious the average car thief could figure out they're missing. Then when he does realize what is he going to do?
