$300 widebody kit

On ebay, it's only $305.00 right now.

I kinda feel sorry for the guy selling it if it goes that cheap, but what a deal. Maybe someone will sell me some wide wheels for almost nothing and I can get it...

Depends on where you are. The IMSA air dam I just bought cost $55 to ship from KY to NJ. The 3 pc IMSA spoiler was $20 to ship form GA to NJ. The boxes they came in were pretty much the same size. So it all depends.

Yeah man that really pissed me off. I swear I didnt make anything off the shipping... I know he charges a little to package them up and use his boxes. He told me that with UPS depends on size of the box if its a certain size it falls into a different weigh category instantly... By the way UPS regulations will not go over a 58" box I think im gonna try fedex on some of my ebay packages im selling I also checked just recently for the glass sunroof going to riffraff and he told me 45-50 bucks for shipping on it!!! So i guess it depend on where its going, the weight and the size of the box

my view on shipping

I almost exclusively use the USPS. Fast, friendly and cheap, only downfall is waiting in that line. UPS is overrated in my opinion, I try to avoid their slow and expensive shipping whenever possible. And maybe it's just the FedEx lady that delivers to me, or the hub my packages come trough, but I absolutely HATE them. I've probably recieved a half dozen things via FedEx this year and had 3 packages lost or destroyed, and only one arrived on time.

Ya gotta love fixed shipping. Pay the $75 and let the seller figure it out.

Hey, I just inquired to the seller on that wide body kit on ebay, he is thinking about cancelling the auction and putting a reserve on it! I dont think that is right to start it to get interest with a low reserve then cancel and re auction with a high reserve!!!!!!!!! I saw where he did this on another item!!!!!!

Yea I know dude. Shipping sux big time. It's such a ripoff. I was gonna get a great deal on a set of 83 limited wheels from GA but UPS wanted $77 to ship them. apparently they had to go though 3 "zones" which increases the cost a ton. Bull **** I say. Oh well just as well I guess, I'm going to look at a complete 83 LE parts car today 20 mins from my house, only wants like $250-300 for it too. So I guess in the end I'll be getting a better deal (assuming I buy it that is) Oh well screw UPS, is Airborne Express any good? Anyone have experience with them? UPS and FEDEX are expensive and the post office only takes smaller packages. Peace

On his defense, the kit is worth quite a bit more than what it is going for.

I have the same kit (used - Japco), the hood (new), and the wheels (16x10). Might be selling the whole kit soon. Will post it up here if I do.

Haha, that's not even worth $1000, the fronts are replicas and the backs are custom made. The mazda kit was on sale not too long ago for under $1300, and that came with a hood and a rear bumper replacement in addition to the four fenders and front spoiler. It's normally about $1500, so this guy is crazy if he thinks he's going to get $2000 for those.

I talked to the owner of our race shop about that kit tonight. It's the same one he uses on his EP car. He says he payed $1,200 for his.
