fail.................

you know your a first gen owner when you go to a atm . park 3 ft away and get out of the car . cause in the car its to hard to get the wallet out of your pants, and you can't reach the atm.

my buddy who is 6'2'' drove my car one day and pulled up right next to one and he had to have me get his wallet out.

another one
when you need a winter car you start looking for a 4x4 truck and a sa/fb shell!
and you do it right and make it a 12a boosted.

if i could figure a easy way to do this with a 12a as the motor and it still be legal in mass id do it so i could drive my rx7 all year. it wouldnt need to be lifted just have 4wheel drive for the snow. to bad there is no awd car that has a frame and the 12a could be easily bolted to.

AWD rx7...? hmmmmm..... sounds like an awesome idea, i wonder if this has been done before. of course you'd have to get rid of the rotary unless you can find a way to mount an awd tranny (not sure how awd works as far as motor to tranny to wheels) ....then again there was that guy who put a 13b into a civic and managed to keep it front wheel drive ...hmmmmm.

When the girls you've dated and your current girlfriend know about RX7s and the rotary engine and they text you when they see an RX7 on the road.

When you find pieces of the car falling off and "modify" what fell off until you can get to the junkyard.

^^My Mazda emblem on the hatch fell off a few days ago because the screws became loose. I was at a buddy's house just about to leave and I noticed one of the screws came off but the metal was too hot to touch so I was going to screw it in once the car cooled off at home. A few days later, I was washing my car for a 7 meet and I realize the mazda hatch lock fell off, so I have some hand rags in the holes until I hit the junkyard

When you are just glad the car runs.

When reliability mods are also power mods.

When you bring your RX7 back from the dead. Then the oil cooler falls off and the oil pan gasket gives up and the differential fill plug is stripped and the brakes kinda work and all you do is smile.

when people tell you that they think your gas tank is leaking (happened to me at a Taco Bell Drvie Through. The guy was like "dude ALL of your gas is comming out of your exhaust, I can smell it!" I laughed and said "yeah,a catless carbureted car will smell like that." He looked at me funny and said "just make sure nothing explodes!")

When you ask a repair shop for an estimate on the motor, and go through ten minutes of, "Sir, we can give you an estimate. I understand it's a rotary motor....we fix all kinds of vehicles, import and domestic. I think we have worked on those cars before..." and you practically make him swear on a bible they can give you an estimate, and he assures he can. Then you pick up the car and you are told, "We can't give you an estimate, we don't work on these motors".

When the parking valet has to ask you to come with him to get your car, as he doesn't speak "choke," and can't find the headlight switch.
