Wiper motor
Wiper motor
I am restoring a 1985 RX7 GS seem to have the wiper motor not working do I have to remove the whole arm assembly from the cowl to replace the motor and where do I get a motor or how do I test it also where is the wiper fluid container located I don't see it in the engine bay and there's no hoses running up to the cowl
The wiper fluid container goes on the rear passenger side inner fender. Real close to where the cruise control goes.
You do need to remove the wiper "transmission" to replace the motor. Looks like you can still get a wiper motor. New ones aren't cheap.
You don't need to remove the motor to test.
For testing, look for the four pin connector D-01. It plugs into the wiper motor. Play around with applying ground and 12V to these four connectors.

The washer pump is part of the bottle. It can be replaced and they are reasonable. They go out after a while, especially if not being used. The rubber gasket can also go bad.
