Unhappy Well this sucks :( I need a fender

While driving to Wally world earlier today, My wheel came off. First time anything like this has happened to me.

If anyone within a couple hours of Rochester NY has a fender, let me know. Doesnt need to be perfect cause it'll be getting cut for flare in the spring.

Ive had this happen to me once. The weirdest thing is when you slam to the ground and come to a stop, but you can see the wheel keep rolling ahead of you wondering if it will stop lol.

What caused it? Did the lugs break? I'd hate for that to happen at 70mph!

My own fault, most likely. I haven't had the wheel off in a few months though.

Glad it didn't damage anything other than the fender. I've got a good buddy attempting to straighten the fender. Only having him fix whats not going to be covered by the flare.

Honestly, call a Mazda dealership. They still have ~150 of both left and right brand new fenders available, and the price is pretty reasonable. I want to say ~$120 of the top of mt head

For those who are wondering, Mazda still has them. $159 for left or right.

Just called them to find out.

Lost a wheel on the left rear of my 81 a couple of months ago at highway speed. Wheels were torqued about an hour beforehand. I would totally allow it to be my fault if 2 people didn't watch me torque all 4 (with a torque wrench!) None of the other wheels were loose. I suspect the 10 minutes of donuts I was doing had something to do with it though.
