I'll start with my tool which is just a simple turtle random orbital sander. I first went at it with Meguiars fine cut buffing compound on a yellow foam bonnet. Then used zymol's cleaner wax also on a yellow foam. (After each of those I removed all the excess with a terry cloth), then lastly I used Meguiars gold Class Wax and did 2 coats of that then buffed it off with a Microfiber bonnet

I must say Sam, you've done one hell of a fine job on the shell I sold you.

thanks ... its still not fully done yet though ... i have too many projects to finish off for the inside but i have little time to do it. Alot of stuff is still in designing process. I still gotta make my ashtray full of button's and stuff.

I was thinking the other day that I could actually use the cruise button which i believe is just a momentary button to turn on the computer. I could use another one off the cruise control to be the reset button too as its momentary too. Would be pretty stealth like that.

The square cruise button on the dash isn't a momentary switch, even though it pops back out. Neither is the one at the end of the wiper stalk. The square button could be used as an on/off switch for the carputer.

If you want to get creative with the ashtray, install the switches inside. That way you could close the tray and hide the buttons.

that was the original plan ... I'll have to double check on the ones on the wiper assembly but they did seem to be momentary switches. the on off switch for computers is as per say an always on and always off. When you momentarily touch them it sends a signal to the power supply to turn on and stays on. So the switch is in the off position unless you push it.

But using those would just mean that I could use the ashtray for more things than that. Why add more weight when its alreayd there
