thermo pellet bypass questions

i am swapping my 13b into my 1st gen so of course i need to swap the front cover.... while doing so i was gonna go ahead and install the thermo pellet bypas from racing beat.... i have done all but get into messing with the actual block of a rotary, but have heard many stories of dropping bearings.....

the engine is out of the car and no matter how much i research i can only find methods of doing this with the engine in the car and compressing the clutch... what is a good method for while the engine is out?????

im kind confused on where the bearing is and i don't even know if this is a concern with the front cover being off... any info would be great... thanks

Assuming this is an S4 or later engine, mount the engine on the stand, front facing up or simply setting on the floor, flywheel down. In this position you won't need to worry about the torrington bearings slipping.

it is located behind the front main pulley bolt. just dont mess with the pulley and you can do it any position. if you have the funds, then buy it new but you can get away by using few washers on the t-pellet (its actually an oil temp sensor like the ones in the oil cooler)
