Thermal reactor swap to header(help!)
So I just got a 79 Rx-7. Total score for 500 bucks 51k original miles and was parked in 94 when the clutch began to slip. I know I want to get rid of the thermal reactor once she's up and running again. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg. Where can I get the block off plates and where do I get a smaller belt since the air pump will be removed? special thing I need to bolt the headers to the housing? Links would be great! Thank you.

Racing Beat sells all the materials you could want, but they're a bit pricey. I'd definitely go with their header.
I believe Monza/Pacesetter is the only other supplier of headers and their header was shown to reduce HP. (If they're even still in business.)
Atkins Rotary is a good supplier of components as well. I believe they have block off plates.
As for the belt, I'd go with a double belt alternator pulley. The air pump and alternator belt both drive the water pump and fan. But take a look at how little of the alternator belt actually touches the water pump pulley. By going with double belts on the alternator, you'll double up the contact surface of the water pump pulley.
BTW: I moved your thread from the Build Thread section, as that's for threads where someone has documented a major restoration or overhaul. You'll get more traffic here in General discussion.
