stock radio

I have an 84SE but the stock radio is a little beat up. If you wanted to keep a Mazda factory radio, would you pursue a stock SE radio or a 2nd gen? The first gen and 2nd gen radios with EQ seem to be almost identical, but I believe the 2nd gen doesn't wear and peel like the 1st. Let me know your opinion.

You could find one pretty easily in the First Gen Classifieds with a Willing to Buy Ad. I'm going to be pulling mine out soon since I won't be using it but it's peeling and doesn't have the equalizer anyways.

the FC radio has different wiring, so its not plug and play, they did ditch the DIN cord though, so its more normal. however good luck finding a working FC radio!
