Still Looking for A 84 or 85 GSL-SE

Bummed...... So hard to find an 84 or 85 GSL-SE ... Any body in the Club have leads for me ??? I live near the New York City area ..and willing to travel for a decent clean model thats all original ..no crazy mods ...willing to spend up to 4,500 ...... In the meantime i search Craigslist each day ..... seen 2 so far ...but they were real rough ...and were asking way too much for the shape they were in ..Thanks Again

Haha I'm trying but it's not working out too well!

A nice -SE is an awesome car to behold and would be much easier to build up into an awesome car than a lower-lettered car.

I take exception to that...

The S stands for SUPERAWSOMECOOLFOREVER!!! or S stands for built not bought.

I ain't hating! Just saying it's easier with a 4x114.3 bolt pattern, fuel injection, power windows, better interior options, etc.

I've got a GS and it's going to be a GS(L(TII))-SSE when I'm done.
GS - started with
(L - GSL rear end
(TII - TII engine
-SSE - Super Special Edition

The more letters the better right??

So is the order from left to right? Or do we solve the parentheses first? ;P

Ignore all preconceived notions of the order of operations, logic, and sense - and my acronym for my car will start to become clear haha

Xanderman, You should also keep an eye on EBay. There are often a couple of SE's for sale there. I think 3 of the 11 FB's were SE's when I looked earlier this week.

And Kansasrx7 the price for a 60k 85 gsl-se is whatever someone is willing to pay for it. On EBay Ive seen them go in the last year for $5600 for a car with 110k miles and recently for about $9000 for a pretty nice looking car. I can't remember the miles though I think it was more than 60k. At this point I doubt that mileage really is the important thing, it is condition (to a point). You could find a 150k mile car that was in really good shape and you can find a piece of garbage with only 30k miles. I would pay as much as $7000 for a well cared for car with the right interior and exterior colors and 60k miles. Clearly some would pay more and others would think I am nuts at that price. Oh, my red GSL-SE that you can sort of see in my avatar photo cost me $3500 and it had 113k miles and no rust I could find. I've put over $1000 into it so far. Everything adds up.
