Stereo Install in the SE

FINALLY got around to getting the stereo installed in the 7. Here are some BEFORE pics...standard SE interior with a POS Pioneer single CD player and stock up front and some cheap 2 way pioneers in the rear:

I just did a standard simple install. Went with a nice Pioneer double din with navi and bluetooth, 12" JL free air sub, and 6.5" Orion Components. Here is the tear down:

radio and speakers

Comparo shots of the rear deck and doors....

rear deck. So sub is behind the driver and am is underneath the pass bin....

the door pods came out GREAT!

here is the finished install......

We have to finish up next week and tune the sub. It currently sounds kinda crappy, we need to baffle it and tune it. Hopefully we can get it to sound great. But I am happy with everything so far.

Thanks alot.

I have not used the navi yet. It seems accurate while driving around town. I plan on testing it soon.

I spy a Mazda beach ball from sevenstock! Damn, the old deck looked just fine, but now it looks sick! The interior looks spotless, I'm jealous.

yes sir! Mazda beachball is cool beans man. Love that thing. Thanks for the kind words. I think I am going to have my guy re cut a new trim for me. Now that I am looking again the trim doesnt fit as clean as it should.

also yeah I was lucky my interior was not all abused and thrashed.
