The Snow is Melting!

Woot! the snow is melting, and the Biker gangs are starting to stake their summer territory on the road. It's time to pull rexy out. I lost the keys in a long sort of events so it's been sitting in the garage for about 4 months, but it had some Stabil, so it should start right up. (got a new key from the dealer) I spent today taking a badge I bought for the front, and fabricating the pegs, because it didn't fit. Tomorrow going to buy a new battery, and throw that in it, and see if I can get the brights to work, (think it's the contacts behind the steering wheel). going to stick some new brake pads (best kind? recommendations? 85, front disc, rear drum) And new tires because mine are worn down to the thread. I'm thinking some Yokohamas. Then get the insurance back on it, and I'll be on the road! looking next two weeks max. going to feel so good to be back in the cockpit. Any one else dragging out for the spring?

I can't wait for spring and warmer weather. I still get to drive a Rex daily either way but I'm tired of having to drive with the heat on. Plus the cold makes me lazy so basically nothing has gotten done on my FB at all even though the motor is in my basement which is decently warm. I still need to get the socket for the flywheel nut so I can finally start tearing the motor down. Laziness sucks LOL

The snow melts here about every few days. Be 45-50 one day, next day 15 and snowing, couple days later back up to 50. I love Indiana.

I wish! What a crappy winter. Snow every other day...cold...windy. There's a 2' - 3' drift in front of the garage where the '79 is, so there's no way it's going in for at least a month. And the '85 has been sitting on jackstands, totally stripped, waiting for paint for several months. I've been trying to get it in for paint since November, but the paint guy has been so busy with collision work that he can't get it in. I HATE winter!
