I recently installed racing seats and wanted a 4 point harness setup instead of standard seat belts. I just assumed I would need a harness bar to strap the belts to.
Can you elaborate on eye bolts???
I'm open to any suggestions especially if it's cheaper than a harness bar.

I did that on my FD, I replaced the bolts that are holding the rear seat buckles so I could attach my Takada Harness
You can get different size of eyebolts , threads etc
But I did notice the bolts for seatbelts were the same size for Fc & Fd , don't know about FB tho
Anyways I guess the last option would be to drill/tap holes to place the eyebolt were you want them to be

Bare with me this will be a little long....
Using eye bolts in an FB would be a bad idea. There are no surfaces behind the driver that are high enough. As a result the shoulder belts would be mounted too low.
While I don't like them, harness bars mimic the shoulder harness location you would have with a proper roll bar/cage. There is a reason for this. Racing sanctioning bodies (SCCA, NASA, etc) spec the angle of the shoulder belts because if they are installed incorrectly - such as too low - a serious back injury can result in an accident. You can down load a copy of the SCCA rules for free from the SCCA website. Look for it under Cars and Rules in the club racing section - search the pdf for driver restraints.
In my opinion using a 4 or 5 point harness in a car that doesn't have a roll bar is a bad idea. Hence I think a harness bar is a bad idea too. Why? When a car rolls over the roof of the car will compress. If the driver is wearing a factory 3 point belt they can duck out of the way. If the driver is held in place by a 4 point harness....ducking isn't possible.
If you want to make a simple change that will help keep you behind the wheel get a CG lock. OR you can add a racing lap belt to your car and use it in conjunction with your factory belt. Not cool to look at but it will work great. The trick is to keep your butt firmly planted in the seat not your shoulders.
