Talking Santa's coming!!!

I usually don't get really excited about Christmas, but I got the 80GB PS3 package with Motor Storm for my son this year and I know it's going to be his best Christmas yet! He's been wanting a new gaming system since his mother (my EX-WIFE) pawned his PS2 and told him it was broken (I wish there was a
"strangling the ex-wife smiley to insert here). All the rest of his family's going in on a lot of other accessories for it (games, adapters for PS2 memory cards and controllers, etc) and I can't wait to see the look on his face...I'll have to get him Tony Hawk's PS3 version of Project 8 if nobody else in his family does first (he's the best little seven-year-old skater I know). I had to take a long break from ordering car parts to get it for him, but that's what this season's all about isn't it? GIVING. How many others are there here that are going to have a wonderful gift giving experience this season? I may be spoiling my boy, but I'm just glad that I can give him the things that I never could've gotten myself when I was younger. In fact, he's the reason I'm building the '7 (well, one of 'em anyway)-it'll be his SECOND car. He'll have to learn to drive in something else and tear it up enough before I'll finally hand him the keys to the Rex...Merry Christmas to all, and a Happy New Year!

On the sentimental side, I found the bike my wife got with her first paycheck like 10 years ago.

I will restore it to "brand new" condition and will give it to her for xmas. I know she will like it

Ditto on no cash...someone came into my house a couple of months ago and helped themselves to every necklace, bracelet and ring I owned, as well as my husband's class ring and wedding band (he can't wear it to work for safety reasons). Much as I am heartbroken about my jewelry, I would love to replace his wedding band. Knowing we are broke with 2 kids to buy for it would probably mean alot to him. Wish me luck on that preholiday yard sale I plan to have!!

My birthday is on Christmas so my mom got me The 80GB PS3. I accidently found it so I got it early! The only reason she bought such an expensive system was because it's my 18th birthday!
P.S. your son is going to LOVE this system!

Thanks for the reassuring, guys. I know he'll love it-he's a gamer, guitarist, and a skater. I have kind of spoiled him on birthdays and Christmas, but I've just been trying to give him the things that I never had when I was younger-and I'm glad I can. That and it's money better spent on him than on my '7. No offense to anyone or their cars, but he's WAY more important to me than my '7 is, or even my job. When you have kids of your own you'll understand-the only thing that comes before him is God...

Hey! one of your locations is in Pittsburgh! I can't find anyone with a 7 where I live and I've been to pittsburgh a couple times ( it's only an hour or so south from where I live). Cool! You don't happen to have any parts you want to sell, do you???

I think we could all donate a part or two that we have laying around the garage and come up with enough after the sale to get a weding band for this couple.
I had a similar situation happened to me a few years back and know how heartbreaking this can be. How about it Club?

I'm in, seriously. This is a season of giving and there aren't too many other people more deserving than those who have been taken from. We should start a new thread for this reason-to really help somebody out this Christmas season!

Tungsten carbide rings look cool and are relatively cheap (also the hardest ring availabe I think - no more bending if he does more physical job). I think they are around 100 bucks. Id be cool with donating 5 or 10 bucks

Excellent guys, this sounds like it's going to go pretty good! I think I'd rather just donate some $ myself, seeing as how it'd be pretty hard to buy jewelry for somebody you don't know. I'm trying to help organize this with leknaw69, who had the original idea-we may start another thread about it to generate some more donations so we can help give somebody a better Christmas this year. I'll try to get all the info we need to help this family out! I wish we could help catch the thief who stole their jewelry and return it to them-I know most things like class rings and wedding bands hold more sentimental value to their owners than anything else...

Oh yea-a sincere thanks goes out to all you kind-hearted individuals that are participating in this! I know how good it makes me feel to help somebody out that deserves it, and apparently you guys (and gal) do too. Merry Christmas to you all!

We'll get the info needed for donations here (and possibly in another thread coming soon-we'll keep you posted) just as soon as we get it...

You guys are soooooo awesome!!! I wasn't expecting this at all. I was just whining at the moment, but I have learned how to deal with my losses. I feel bad that it takes others to help me out with this, but I was talking to someone about selling my engagement ring to make my family's Christmas better and to replace the wedding band...maybe God has found a way for me to keep it now....Ya'll do know I'm crying right now...right??? Thank you very much.....

I'd be down to help out too.

Kymber: We're a family here. We help each other out where we can.

As to the theif, we should find him, strap him to a chair, and bombard him with rotary exhaust (and maybe a fireball or two )!

Those do look awsome. Most times though, its not the bending that they are worried about. It is the ring getting caught in machinerary and ripping your finger off.

I still say get one though, they are awsome.

He has changed jobs recently and he told me that he can wear a watch to work so I assume that he can wear his ring, too. He stopped wearing it at his last job because it kept bending. After the 2nd or 3rd time I had to take it to be straightened I told him it would be okay with me if he didn't wear it to work anymore...LOL

I had to update my paypal because I changed email addys...The email in my profile is correct and is also my paypal...

I don't use paypal often and I assume that is what you need to know...
8034 Holly Island Drive
Donalsonville, GA 39845 My real name is Kimberly Whitley Thank you all for helping me. I have been stressing so bad about it all and in doing so have gotten a better grip on the real meaning of the season. It sometimes takes something like all this to humble a person and bring them back to their roots and their faith in God. If you need any more info let me know. I will let you all know how I spent the money and may even provide pictures...I once heard that angels are where you least expect them...they were right...Much love and Merry CHRISTmas~
