that would work for me , maybe the car of the month could be selected from the "post your pics " thread and owner pm'd to provide a certain list of information or interesting story. this could be done by someone in advance of each week , maybe rotorman85 ?

Just adding to this thread, should make a calander at the end of the year showcasing each car that is featured. Would be a cool idea and a way to get some more money for RX7club.

I was just going to post this.

I work at a print shop and am going to college for print, so I could probably set this one up.

I would LOVE to have an FB calendar.

How would we go about setting this up?

A year ago there was a guy trying to create an RX-7 calendar (all gens)...he got submissions from a bunch of people and narrowed it down to 12 pictures (mine was one of them ) and was getting prepared to get it printed, but got shot down by the club...even though he was going to make virtually no money on it. So if someone is going to go forward with this, make sure you coordinate it with the club czars.

Got shut down in what sense?

If I do this, well technically 'we' as I am using your pictures (as in the clubs), I will be selling for my cost plus shipping.

Maybe a dollar more for the time put into it.

I would like to give back to this board for helping me, so why not do it that way?

Just a thought.

That sounds fine to me...but this is exactly what the other guy was trying to do. Let me try to find the thread.

Rich -

Thanks for the link. I have been reading them and it seems a lot of problems arose with different generation people.

This is a project that I am willing to tackle 90%. I say 90% because I need feedback from members, images, suggestions, etc.

I think the hardest part will be choosing which pictures to use. I do not want to be biased as I am almost positive everyone here loves their cars equally. Plus I wouldn't want people getting pissed at me for not choosing their car.

This would be an all FB calendar. I in no way have any knowledge about FCs or FDs so to me what looks 'good' could look awful to someone else.

Then again, if more people see OUR calendar from the other generations, maybe we can make one for them too, which could eventually lead up to the idea that was in the previous calendar topic: all different generations.

It also seemed as if 'trust' was an issue with people in the other topic. I follow a business etiquette of "If not completely happy with the product, I will fully return your money plus the paypal fees." I have been doing this for a couple years with stuff on the other message board I am a part of and I have had zero problems thus far.

Like I said, this is something I am willing to tackle. It would be another fun project for me and wouldn't look bad for my portfolio either.

Let me know guys and girls!

Well, actually, the other one got killed because the club would not allow him to do it without paying the club some sort of fee for the right to be a vendor here on the forum, and he wasn't willing to do that. I didn't re-read the thread, and don't remember if this came out in the thread, but I was in contact with the guy on Yahoo messenger and that's what he told me. Maybe Jon or one of the other mods can shed more light on this.

You are right about the fee.

I am currently working on this, I have already talked to three people about it.

The quote is being made now for the actual print, the fee I will work out.

So far, everything is going good. Look for a new topic in a little while.

Well, let me get the pricing worked out before we pick the cars.

If they are too pricey I might not want to up front the cash for it right yet.

Chris.

but it would be cool to have a car of the month

i agree with that, perhaps we could have a poll on here and all of us could vote on pictures that owners post on this thread or a seperate one set up for this thread. i mean you would have to first havea photo that would look good blown up on a calender.
that way nobody would be upset over thier car not bein on the calender. everyone would see the 'vote' ... if that makes any sense ...
