Rip gsl-se 9-7-09

Well today I was just leaving Myrtle beach on the way home and was trying to read a sign figuring out which highway i needed to take and ran a red light and T-boned a Toyota Tundra...

My SE is now a parts car

No one was seriously injured in the accident so I thank God for that but it has had me torn up inside all day...Now for the carnage

I will be getting the car towed home probably wednesday and will be parting it out as soon as i can start pulling parts off of it.

If anyone needs anything let me know. Car will be located in King, NC

That suck, Kory. I wish you were able to enjoy it more after fixing those fuel issues.

If you are still going to go to the next x-roads meet, I'll probably see you. Planning on coming down next weekend.

I'm not sure about plans for the car yet, I am getting it towed back up here probably tomorrow to my grandmas house and put it in the shed at her house, I will start pulling parts off whenever i get a chance. If i can find a good shell I might swap it all over and build another one but we will have to see.

^^ that sounds liek a plan. using it to fix a nice shell! parting it would be a last resort i would think. i would be interested to see how damaged the structure is once you pull the fenders..

Sorry to see that happen to a nice car, but I'm real glad to hear it wasn't worse... If you'd gotten out in front of the Tundra instead of sticking it... brrrrrrr.

Don't tear yourself up over it, though - - not helpful to dissect it too much. They call them "accidents" for a reason. Try to be more careful in future, and be glad everyone walked away from this one.

Man, sorry to hear about that! It looks like it held up nicely though. She was a nice car but I am glad you are safe.

Let me know if you need help looking for a shell, that engine was too nice to let it sit

would you be interested in my silver SE donor???I took the SE suspension bits (its got all the GSL stuff on hand tight so it can roll now), but it is basically still all together, it needs a windshield, front bumper/header panel, but you should have everything else its missing. Could just swap everything over. the shell is straight. I have the VA Title, not in my name, but its clean. Just didn't see the reason to register a parts car...

You interested in selling/trading those wheels?

give me a PM, maybe we can work something out...

Brock

as far as fixing this car....not gonna happen. the unibody got crushed on the drivers side so the shell is done for, I am going to wait until I can find a good shell and swap everything over
