Restoring and painting LE wheels

Hey,

I purchased a set of Limited Edition wheels last week and the previous owner repainted them somewhere along the line. Years of use and such have them flaking off (with the exception of one, which was previously refurbished).

Anyhow.

Before:

I purchased 220 grit, 320 grit, 400 grit, and 600 grit sandpaper. I started with the 220 to get it started and remove paint. I then did light coats of of 320-400-600 to get it into a dull (nice?) shine.

We had to hit a few spots with a sander to remove larger inperfections (one wheel was much worse then the others). There is some pitting in some, but this isn't supposed to be amazing (just more of less get rid of the old paint).

We polished the outer lip and plan to hit the centers with a flat-black, which should shine some after we clear the wheels.

After cleaning and polishing the lip with this:

Finally, a newly painted Jaguar in the garage.

I'll update tomorrow and finish painting and clearing the wheel, I may have to have two sandblasted due to the paint remover I had (that really didn't work on one).
