Respeed catalog?

Is Respeed down for anyone else?

I can get the main site up but when I click catalog it takes FOREVER... been 5 min and still not loaded.

Hey wow! I just found something new for June in the catelog!!!

Dual alternator pulley for 17 bucks. I never got one before because everyone seemed to want a fortune for them.

Dual pulley is the only way to go and that's a great price. Hardest thing I've found is is trying to find 2 belts that are the exact same length.

Well, since they are primarily rubber I would imagine they will stretch just a bit when tightening down the alternator. Miniscule differences shouldn't matter much if that is true.

I've been wondering if maybe it would be hard on alternator bearings, because you are creating more pressure even farther away from the bearing than the first one. But now I'm thinking that since you would have double the amount of metal to rubber contact area, there'd be less of a tendency to slip on the pulley, so you wouldn't need to run the belt as tight as you would with only one belt.

Just like a fat tire gets more traction than a thin tire, even though the weight pressing down on the tire (the car) didn't change. So this could actually result in longer bearing life.
