NY Replacing headlight/highbeam/turn signal switch, any useful tips?

My high beams are all messed up and wont stay on (you have to hold the wand in to get them to stay on sence when you just put them in the on position the lights completely cut out... so much fun doing that at night lol) so I bought a new switch for the whole assembly and am wondering if anyone has had any experience a.k.a problems installing these?

well, in the 79-80 SA its pretty straight forward.
-you need to realize the head-light-motor-switch-tip just pulls off the stem to allow the steering column covers to come off...
other than that you will see as you disassemble that its pretty straightforward.
-disconnect battery would be smart....
-make sure you parked the car with the st wheel dead straight so you have no prob getting it back on in the correct position...
