Removing Ignition

Hello guys, I want to know if anyone knows how to remove the ignition switch and harness without using a die grinder. I just bought a matching lock set and I tried removin my original locks and hade to luck. Theres two bolts but it looks likes the heads have been broken off. Also I found a SA in the scrapyard but its locked and the manager in the yard told me to bust the window but I actually need the windows is there anyway I could open it without damaging the windows and the doors? Thanks Very Much Guys!

the ignition switch is a PITA but what i did was grind the heads of the screws so that i could use a flathead screwdriver on it and then it was just a matter of breaking the screws loose. ...the doors, you can try to use a slim if you have one, if not, the only other way i can think of would be to use a flathead screw driver and try to pry off the door lock, see if you can break the washer that holds the lock in place from inside the door, then you could just use something to move the rod around until the lock popped off....good luck with that.

Ignition, simple! You removed the cover already, Now you will have to undo the support bracket under the dash and the bolts holding the box to the frame. (the nuts are inside the fender, easy to get at!). Now with the column dropped, use a very sharp "flat" punch and notch the bolt heads. Then you can remove them with a screw driver (or buy a grabit easy out). As for the doors, I have an old key that works in half the rx7's at the wrecker. use yours or bring a couple and try the drivers door (lock cylinder is usually quite worn) or the hatch (mine work in most hatch lock sets). Good luck!
