price of streetporting

hey I have a 85 12a and have the rb exaust and wanna get the weber 48ida and was curious on the average price of streetporting it..ive searched and havnt heard prices thanks!

With the total rebuild factored in, I paid $3,600. From what I've seen that's higher than average, but making it bulletproof was my priority. Balanced, ported, lots of rotary aviation bits. Finding a reputable place to have it done is more important than price IMO. No sense in getting a crappy porting job to save a couple hundred bucks.

I don't know what places there are to do it in Colorado, but getting it done locally would obviously be more convenient and save on cost.

Or you could be adventurous and do it yourself. Templates and and a dremel will go a long way to keep more cash.

When it comes to porting, pick who's best rather than looking for a deal. Some will not do it for you unless they are doing the full build. there are templates out there, but that just covers the port opening. It takes talent and experience to port the runner and bowl really well, no template for that.
