Posting is a pain, what am I doing wrong

I log in, try to post a reply or start a new thread, and when I hit the submit button, there is a box that says I am either not logged in, or not authorized to do the stated function- try again. Seven of seven times this has happened, and I can either back up and try a few more times and it will work, or I have to relog-in and retype everything again. What a I missing or doing wrong?

Did you get a reply from the forum when you first registered? if so, did you activate it?

He must have activated it since he has nine posts thus far. The Remember Me check mark is a good tip. Maybe it's an issue with a slow Internet connection that keeps dropping and loses the pwd details on reconnection...? In which case the Remember Me should work.
