Shortly after I counted over the bills... She's still at that track, and I don't have that Civic anymore, but she's in a small garage I rent there. I'm replacing the destroyed motor, everything else on the car is in good shape. She sat outside for so long, I'm hoping she learned a few things from all the race cars constantly tearing around. I'll find out for sure before too much longer.

Before all the V8h8rs chime in, let me point out that an FB's fate with a V8 is so much better than a fate such as this, forever to sit on flat tires with rusted paint and a seized motor, forgotten and lost.

A V8-swapped FB is one less abandoned FB. Please, won't someone think of the FB33s?

Not mine, just found a particularly beat-up RX7 on Craigslist to use as an example. http://seks.craigslist.org/cto/1574038629.html

someone needs to pick that up. wheels r worth more than what they're asking for the whole car.

yeah thanks for the support you guys. the car was most likely going to the crusher since it was engineless and i bought it for $300, i was was playing around and in the middle of a rotary rebuild, street ported none the less... but always liked and wanted to try a swap of this caliber...which really isnt that hard... so i parted out the rotary and bought a 5.0

The first 3 are shortly after I brought her home. She didn't run and I paid $750. Last 3 are as she sits waiting for her new owner to take her away. Althought right she's burried under about 25"-30" of snow

Almost home:
May '04... on my trip home from San Diego to Fairbanks Alaska: 2650 miles!
Bought the car off ebay from owner down there...
never missed a beat. Amazing trip. West Coast USA, Canada, Yukon... gawd what a beautiful continent!
Would buy another SA in a heart beat just for the drive!

If and when you do Stu, let me know. I'd enjoy being your wingman on the drive home.

If I ever do decide to sell, Stu... you'll get first crack at Spry Beastie. & all her spares and docs.

And it'll only be due to the frigging smog ****'s down here, if it does happen.

Cool picture! One thing I do regret today is not capturing that new car moment. Heck, I didn't even own a camera back then. I should ask my Mom if she by chance took one that I don't recall. So is the stripe that goes along the door and up the leading edge of the B-pillar, part of the factory LS trim package? Or was this something the dealer added? I think Mazda Dave's old Solar Gold LS also had this. Not sure I've ever noticed this on any white or black LS's before.

I'm going to have to go digging through my parent's photo collection. I know they have a shot of me with my first RX-7 somewhere. A broken-down '82 GS in maroon. It was a heap, but it was my heap.

My white LS has that same black L shaped stripe on the side. It did have the stripes around the side moulding too but someone removed it, if you look really close you can see where it was. I thought the stripes on a white car where gold?

The LS Stripe was part of the LS package and is listed on the window sticker as part of the LS package.

Thanks for clearing up the LS stripe.
Does anyone know where you could get a replacement stripe for it? I would like to have one for it I ever had my car repainted.
