I may try to find some RB springs or something, but I don't really want to lower it any. My other car is 3 inches off the ground... I'd like to have something that can take a speed bump or pot hole without swerving or slowing down under 1 MPH.

I also managed to find a gas station down the road with gasoline in stock so I threw a bottle of Seafoam into 3 gallons of gas. Let it idle in the driveway for about an hour giving it a few revs here and there.
It would look and feel right a bit lower IMO

Electronic Ignition swap..

Sweet rotor oil cap...

Plans I still have...
-2nd gen coil pack direct fire
-New front bushings
-MAYBE Racing Beat springs and new struts someday. Stock is fine for now.
-Better condition driver seat top with no rip
-CD player?

BTW it's actually dirty right now. Hasn't been washed up in 3 weeks (GASP!). So it would probably be shinier if it had a fresh wash and wax.
be a shame to futz the OEM dash layout with a CD - I went the iPod route...
Nice car! Another Sunrise Red SA resurrected to the Fold
Curious with all the Racing Beat love, why you went with the Pacesetter header??

The Weber was a POS impossible to deal with on cold starts. It would flood itself out at idle. Idled at 1500RPM. LOUD! Made Ok power, but at a cost of reliability and a tolerable sound. It was for track use. If I ever change out the carb again I will go with a basic Holley setup.
Pace Setter header came with the car. I don't mind it. Sounds fine. Can't beat free!

Pacesetters are notorious for being one of the worst flowing designs out there. But for free it flows better than the stock exhaust. No matter how you look at it a Holley is a downgrade from a Weber. I understand it was giving you headaches, but it probably just needed a rebuild, or simply the mixture and idle tuned.
You've done a great job! This looks like a pretty early car, I'm guessing it has bonnet mounted, right side prop rod? Nice to see an intact speaker dash in great shape too. You got a nice jem there.

It has all the early production goodies. Manufactured 9-78. The best thing about it is every thing on this car works! Except AC... It was plucked out for dead weight savings.
The Weber was new. They are terrible for reliability. Cold start problems. Flooding. It's just too much for an NA.
