it's not new slang though it's been around for a very long time. it's 2 seperate things though.
tucked...you're wiring harness/hard lines ect are tucked out of view . and shaved is all unnecessary holes welded up along with any seams where metal pieces connect.
look up chase bays...the specialize in wire tucks and make good money doing it

Apparently, it's more or less new around here... Doesn't sound like something 1st-gen rotarys see a lot of.

Very nice.

I will do mine that way, if I pull the engine to paint.

Does he have a problem with his brakes from the heat of the turbo? It's clean either way.

I dunno what master cylinder he's using, i'd say it's not factory one though as I think he's running a TO4Z!, i'll have to ask.

I'm not sure how he goes with heat from the turbo, but i'd almost guarantee that the turbo exhaust and from there back has been ceramic coated for heat deflection...

This is only moderately on topic, but the Vdub guys do a pretty good job. There are quite a few shaved engine bays in this [awesome] video.

Hondas and VWs do it best. Never seen a rotary get away with it, probably because the ignition and oil lines/wires don't have nifty vavle cover plates to hide them, they HAVE to just out of the rotor housings and what not, ono alternate routing avaliable and the plugs aren't recessed in the block.

I'd like to know how the Aussies manage to tuck in their wiring to where it seems the engine is just floating in there. That is just insane.
