New Paint!

Finally got my car painted over Thanksgiving break, sorry for only having one crappy picture right now, but I haven't even had time to finish putting back on the trim lately. More pics soon!
PS, the front bumper was rebuilt by my Dad and I, we started sanding the car back in early September and just got it done.

Yeah, I plan on having it yellow sometime again maybe in the far far future or another car that's yellow. I got to like it after a while. The yellow paint was faded though and really really old and it needed a new paint job. So I got the white paint for free and it looks pretty good. More pics as soon as I find new batteries for the camera or run to the store to get some.

i think if it were spark yellow it would look better than the original yellow that you bought it with. the white does look very nice. why not a dark blue, black or a red?

Well I knew that the paint job wouldn't be the best since I did it, and it's not at all, so white hides a lot of the bad spots, and I also got the white paint for free and anything that's free is worth saving up for! haha.

Now as you've noticed, still no trim is on, the left mirror isn't on, the rear hatch lock is yellow, the screws for the rear tail lights aren't all in, and the one door handle is not painted. I still have to put the pieces in the front wheel-wells on that prevent water and dirt from getting inside the fender. The interior needs work as you can see and that will come with time. Questions are also welcome about the rebuilding of the front bumper as it was wrecked and it's fiberglass. The car is a daily driver as it is my only car. I have plans for putting a "Powered By Rotary" lettering in the back between the tail lights like the IMSA race car. There are also plans for more decals and other things in the future but not yet, ideas are welcome but must be time period correct. Party on

And the metal plate behind the exhaust is for actual use, I noticed after driving for a few days that oil likes to build up there since my exhaust is literally straightpipe now (burned the interior up in the 20$ ebay muffler already). I riveted it on (and please ignore the W8 Passat wagon in the background)

Don't worry, all the trim is black and that hasn't been put on yet. I also have to paint the door window frames black still too, I just painted them white while painting because it's easier to paint them rather than cover them up. A lot more black accents will come.

Thanks a lot for the offer but I think I'm going to have an aluminum dash made for the car sometime in near future for a more race style. New seats and harness's will be coming soon for the car and I think following that will be the dash. But thank you very much for the offer!

Maybe you can convince 13Beef/Fibremaz to make you this in a LHD version:

wow, that Mariah looks amazing. you put on the exact same parts I been wanting to go with. Which bumper cover is that? Oh, I also wanted to know where you got the side skirts that actually fit the MAriah? Looks good I been wondering how the SA would look with that open center. I was thinking about fiberglass or sheet metal the rear and installing different lights but that remains to be seen. Last question, how hard was it to mold on the rear QP's?

Hmmm, I was thinking more of a simple and plain look like the one John Morton's IMSA RX7....

Well I bought the car with the bodykit on it so I'm not quite sure how hard it would be to put on all the panels. And for the bumper, if you mean the rear, it's from a later model RX7, the specific year of mine is an '82. As for the side skirts, I also don't know. I know for the Mode 4 body kit that they have 3 piece sideskirts, but I don't know about the Mode 1 (which is the wider kit). And if you're interested in the style I had before between the tailights, I still have the fiberglass piece and lighted part that says " RX7 ", like in the picture attached. If you want it, it's up for grabs

I will also grab some pics of the fiberglass piece and RX7 piece when I get home so you can see it, and in the picture attached above, the RX7 piece isn't fully bolted in. It actually looks very good when attached right.

Here are the pieces.....

The RX7 piece is in good condition and has nothing wrong with it really. I think the one hole in the plastic in the back is busted where you screw it into the car, and I think the black trim around it might be coming off a tad bit, but it's in good condition. I have pictures of it lit up at night if you wanna see that let me know. The fiberglass piece still has bondo and whatever else the guy before me used to attach it to the car on the piece, but it chips right off.

Well those are the 2 pieces, what you see is what I got, but I'm pretty sure both these pieces aren't made anymore and are very very hard to find.
