Nearly choked when I saw this:
Lol that car has popped up on Craigslist frequently over the last few months. I was thinking about checking it out as its by my hometown just to see what's so special about it or what the current owner is smoking to think it is worth that haha
His times right in with the people are stupid thread. Some one.who knows nothing about the car and just thinks since its got somewhat lower miles for an older car they can jack the.price way up
But I will point out one thing, the hood prop rod is on the right side so maybe get the last six in the vin it's obviously an earlier production car, they may go for OBO

When first introduced in 78, the base price for an S model was like $6,800. GS's were low 7's. Demand out stripped supply and the prices increased depending on region but yes, the dealers were keen to squeeze eager buyers for what they could. By the summer of 79, GS's were low to mid 9's out the door. A 79 Limited was like $10,200-10,400.

problem with this one is mileage, even if it is one of the first with that many miles the price is going to take a huge hit.

I've had a number of people tell me that nobody ever wins two years in a row at SS; the judges like to mix things up. So your odds are improving just by not having won yet!

Here is my window sticker along with the dealer ticket showing out the door price on my '84 GSL. Mine was a little less because I couldn't afford the air conditioning when I bought it and didn't want leather seats.

The seller is going to think he keeps getting lowballed lol.
I totally believe this. Looks like a few of us will be fighting for it next year
