I believe the color is called "Hello Yellow". It's from the 1981 Corvette, and is Chevy code 52. Here's the thing though, between 1978 and 1981, all Corvette yellow paints were code 52, but there were two different yellows.

Apparently, Chevy switched to the deeper, more orange-yellow that I have, sometime in 1979, and used it until they stopped offering yellow in 1982. So, to be sure I got the right color, I asked for the 1981 specific yellow.

Good luck!

I didn't realize you had swapped in a Renesis. I'm about to do the same. Can you share details on the front mount mods and the oil pan fabrication? DM me if you want. Love seeing this car. Did you really sell it? I see a SOLD in your signature. @YELLOWGSLSE

Hi Tim! @t_g_farrell I most certainly have NOT sold the '79, and can't see ever doing so! The "SOLD" in my signature is referring to my old '84 GSL-SE. I'd actually been meaning to post an update with a few recent pics.

So, here are some taken as recently as a couple weeks ago.

As for any specific Renesis details, I'd be more than happy to help in any way I can. And while I can answer some questions around the overall project, particularly the finished product, I admittedly don't know many of the technical details off-hand (measurements, fabrication specifics, etc.) as my builder handled all of that. But I can easily find out from him any details you're interested in. Just let me know!
