My latest: '85 GSL-SE
My latest: '85 GSL-SE
I bought Frisbeedog's GSL-SE back in late March and have just now had the opportunity to get some pictures and share. It's an '85 GSL-SE that he had painted Galaxy grey (the same color as is available on an RX-8). It has both roofs, an Atkins rebuilt 13b, full RB exhaust and, since I bought it , an entire MOOG front end. I've also replaced the fuel pump and filter, fixed the air-con, gotten rid of the Tennessee sticker on it (sorry Ian, but I'm a Longhorn, the REAL UT
), new tires, all new wiper system and all new clutch hydraulic system.
The car is rust free, 154k miles and it was passed down through Frisbeedog's family so it has a stable history. Plenty of records and lots of love.
So...some pics...

Some more...

The last two were the first pictures I took as I was heading out of Knoxville back to Richmond. I'll get some engine pictures and other shots soon.
Enjoy.

I've always used MOOG on my Saab's and Z cars. Good stuff, even if Nascar claims to use it.
I'm glad this 7 went to somebody who obviously is going to take good care of it! You have done more wrenching in a month then I have in the last two years. It's ok you took off the sticker, but remember who has the real orange!
Did you have the soccer license plate frame from Michigan? If so I need to see that my dad gets that back.
I'm not sold on the side moldings, but to each their own. The lines of the moldings are nice however I feel they are too thick and dated.
Have fun with the 7 and I'm SUBSCRIBED!

I think I'm with Ian on this one. I like it without the moldings, but I am going to seek out a set just for comparison to see if I like it.
Speaking of wrenching, the leaking vibration dampener stopped leaking when I tightened the screw back down. No matter, I'm going to order another one this week because it will inevitably begin again. I will have to look, but I'm pretty sure the tag frame was not a soccer frame. I'll check though.
