it's scary what society is coming to. i'm only 19 but i'm sure old timers can agree with me in that back in the day getting a car to run 100 in a straight line was quite amazing and only lunatics with no life ever tried it lol. but society is power hungry and with all the advances in technology we're always wanting to do things FASTER, some things are already fast enough, but we still want more, hell even family cars now days have ridiculous horsepower compared to times past. i see tv commercials about suv's and sedans with 230hp minimum. soon cars are just gonna be a recreational event, something to feel the "good ol' times" we're gonna be able to travel across the world in seconds.

I was thinking about this as my buddy who just bought a scion XB was pulling up right beside me on the highway and stomped it and i was in 5th gear cruising so i stomped it, couldn't catch up so i dropped it to 3rd, i still "won" he couldn't quite catch up as i shifted into 4th. but i was thinking "that's basically a full sized suv with 4/5 person capacity, and a ******* 4 cylinder engine, it shouldn't be able to pull me like that."

Everyone talks to much **** about hondas, its kinda old. Where I live, not everyone is loaded, everyone here in San Antonio is middle class or below middle class, so hondas are very abundant. Don't get me wrong the Honda Civic turned into the icon for Ricers. But not everyone who owns a Honda is a ricer. I have mad respect for Honda drivers cause most my friends own hondas they all share the same love for imports as I do. What I like about Hondas are they're cheap, and easy to find parts for. But I must ask and I do want an answer for this, but when does your car determine your sexual orientation?

a hatch with a GSR will fly off the road. he'll be soaring atleast 130 or more.
and to me a integra with a GSR, doesn't sound like a ricer at all, I do believe a ricer is someone how modifies only the exterior of their car only to make it appear as if it goes fast.

this is just my opinion.

yeah nuts to got almost 300mph on a public road huh?

"It was January 28th, 1937, on the German Autobahn between Frankfurt and Darmstadt, that race car driver Rudolf Caracciola set a new land speed record of 268.3 mph in a Mercedes-Benz W125. Caracciola, who drove for Mercedes, won many races through out Europe, including Germany's first Grand Prix when he was just twenty five years old."

This man speaks the truth. I miss my CRX... Being able to pick the back end up with a friend, not having to beat things with hammers to make them sit right when installing them, an overabundance of inexpensive parts, I could go on and on.

i mean as in every day affordable driving, people have been attempting experimental land speed records forever, but that doesn't mean you can just pick a random, road legal car and go 300mph.

i'm just comparing what the general public used to get, to what is considered the standard now, i just think its amazing, i can't imagine how fast we're gonna get before we reach our limit.

Or just get mechanical secondaries and full exhaust, and keep up with the new Acura TL in first, second, and half of third. Hell, thats the speed limit right there.

Ask me how I know

i still say an integra is a ricer, an rsx thats getting into a rear tuner right there. and i really admire the delsol and s2000's. i dont hate the cars really, just the majority of people that i have ever know or seen with them kind of killed it for me. and and i personally still want an eg hatch myself, they're decent cars and super easy to work with where every part from almost any honda is interchangeable with little to know mods to the car. you can take the engine out of just about any honda or acura and bold it right in. how amazing is that? and as long as its kept clean and with a decent deep tone i can respect that.

I think its when they came out with the geo metro. Yeah I'm pretty sure thats when it happened.

BTW I broke off a 2000 eclipse RS but got smoked but not too bad by a modded civic hatch. BTW the eclipse had a body kit and painted baby blue. I was laughing my *** off at them.

geo metro has one purpose, saving gas. a gay person would be someone who had an auto geo metro. just like if you have an auto rx7.

I'd rather have the Suzuki Version, The Swift GTi. Has a neat little 16 valve 1.3 liter engine that resembles a bike motor.

Um, what? RotaryShack just put out their new header a few weeks ago. It's based on the old SDJ design, but improved.

Weber 48 IDA. Carb. Racing Beat sells both the carb and manifold, among other places.

Just remove the aux. port sleeves like Hyper4mance2K did when he made 189 WHP from an NA 6-port engine.

The Yugo was the first car that truly defined the driver's sexuality... anyone who actually drove one had no nuts at all.

very true, but when have you heard of people coming up with a solution before there was a problem? can't make safety standards w/out someone totaling a car

I think my post count means I don't spend my time sitting here all day lurking in Rx7 forums.

I agree with AntonL too there is a limit to what kind of body kit you place on your car. when you grinded (or grid?) most the body just by backing out your drive way is kinda pushing it. but most my friends had sleepers. But I do understand the beef with guys and hondas, alot of honda owners are ********. you can't blame the car for it's driver, unless you're driving Kit.

jinxed4dub
lol reminds me of this 2nd gen eclipse that ricer to the MAX!
it gots the body kit and paint job of the the one in Fast and Furious part one.
but no engine work.
