My GSL-SE (PIC'S)
Hello my fellow Rx-7 enthusiast, im brand spanking new to the forum so here is my attempt to introduce my self. I'm a long time rx7 lover all the way back since i was oh about oh maybe 12/13, ( its my father fault) I just Turned 20 a couple of months ago. Just wanted to show you guys some pic's of my new toy. I hope to learn lots here on the forum from you rotor heads and i will try to give as much back as possible. Hope you guys like the pic's. Its a 85' gslse. The rims are faded because the previous owner put acid on them because he like the mated look but i will polish them very soon. If any one knows where i can get this done in the NY area i would really appreciate it.

Welcome to the club, thats one clean SE you got there. I bought my 84 gsl when i was 15. I fixed it up, drove it for two years in highschool, stored it for two years, and now its awaiting a streetport 4 port 13b. My dad got me interested when i was about 13 as well and i turn 20 in march, so we're in the same boat. Enjoy it!

That is super clean man, nice find. Must be low mileage. I recommend doing the polishing yourself. It's cheaper, and the feeling of pride you'll get from doing it yourself and being able to look at them every day will be much better. You just need to use a little elbow grease. And you don't want to have to take them off to bring them to a shop every time they need to be polished again. Enjoy the car, they are a blast.
Oh and say goodbye to the contents of your wallet.

+1 on what orion84gsl said, except clearcoat them after you polish them so you don't have to keep re-polishing them. I did that to my stock wheels and they came out really nice.

Nice. Got to love the SE's!
To polish I would, get a couple pads of sand paper.
Start with pretty rough (like 600) and wipe it down until all the surface is off. Then go to a higher grit (say 800 or 1000) and sand the opposite direction, and keep doing that until you get to 2000+ grit then use some sort of polishing compound to finish it off. Done this on an aluminum valve cover before, works great.

Maybe. I was thinking about dropping her with the racing beat springs and getting those adjustable springs every one talks about. Maybe throw in a new sound system nothing fancy just so i can enjoy my music, that's all i have on mind right now, anything you recommended?

Absolute Power is Awesome
You're low on windshield washer fluid.
I've never seen a red interior where NON of the red has turned green. That must have spent alot of time in a garage. Enjoy.

There are many way's to mode you car engine wise, depened if you have a budget,do you have a budget?.Im going to start to work on a 85 gsl i might go 12a or 13b either way it's geting ported.I did a list of the part's that i need if your going to mode your engine, depend's on what your going to do be organize. And if you have a budget stay in that.Being organize in a project is the number one thing....
