Hey great job and for such an even better price! Welcome to the forum. Get some pics up, for some reason we all love pics no matter how bad the paint job or whatever. You might want to think about rebuilding the carb. I had done two and both turned out great and it made a heck of a difference.

Ok this thread is alive again.

today i went and picked up all the parts that came along with my car when i bought it, so now i have something to do. i have to get that u joint replaced, get the carpet and seats in, get the hatch and sunroof on, and get the tail lights and rear bumper on. then it's time to take her down to my dad's shop and change all the fluids and check everything over.

Yes, i am excited.

Edit: i think i will rebuild the carb, and also, i have to get it off the jack stands and rolled outside soon to get some pics for you guys. i have just been really lazy lately as the school year is coming to a close and we are all slacking off.

PICTURE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok ok ok ok.

this is the side, i have all the trim for it.

here is a rear 3/4 view, you can see the cracked center piece and my bumper i don't have on yet

here you can see the rust spot on the pass. door on the front. and my missing radio atenna.

just a front view

another front view

i think these cars look like boats from the front.

my pile of interior parts that won't be going in, and my trusty hatch prop (complete with nails sticking out of it)

interior shot thru the sunroof that i have yet to get.

where the passenger's seat is suposed to be

the engine. i have the air filter off cuz i just rebuilt the carb, and was tuning it and messing around with it.

today i got it running good, and then my fuel pump broke. one more thing to do...

oh, and by the way, this car has 198,000 miles on it.

hey it's a good color, and the body seems pretty straight! for the price I think you got a sweet deal! The interior needs a little work, but this is coming from someone who was blessed with a mint interior lol. I've deff. seen worse, post some progress pics!

thanks for the comments. the body is pretty straight as far as alignment of panels and stuff, but it's also pretty rusty. the rockers have holes in them in front of the back wheel well, and on the inside, both rear whellwells are rusted thru, i don't know how much of that i'm gonna fix, i just wanna drive the thing.

yeah, i don't have it driving yet due to the driveshaft not being done yet, so i tried to start it after unflooding (again and this time it finally worked) and it wouldn't restart, and it let out a huge backfire that was louder than shotgun. i got some pics now of the muffler blown up, and i'll post them on my other thread about the situation if you wanna see.
